AMBA Connect in Glasgow, Scotland

AMBA Connect events is a series of member-focused, evening events designed to bring together student and graduate members from our ever-growing network of MBAs, MBMs and DBAs around the world.

Network, connect, engage and inspire
This September we find ourselves in Glasgow, and we invite our members from around Europe and beyond to join us on Wednesday 25 September from 18:30 to 21:30 for an evening of high level discussions, informative expert opinion and invaluable networking opportunities.

Topic: Purpose. Perseverance. Resilience: the ingredients of a successful career
Career resilience is the ability to overcome barriers, to adapt to change and respond to problems as they arise. It is the capacity to handle setbacks and bounce back. The rapidly changing world of work requires business leaders, entrepreneurs and employees to take ownership of their own career development, which means resilience is a must-have skill. Hear from Hannah Kathleen Hawkshaw, as she shares her compelling career story and explains how identifying opportunities in times of adversity helped her to build a successful business.

About our speaker
Hannah Kathleen Hawkshaw is a recognised multi-award winning blogger, singer / songwriter and passionate entrepreneur; and the Founder and CEO of Branding Marketing Results, a branding and marketing firm based in Ireland.
As an entrepreneur, she has travelled internationally to conduct workshops in countries such as the US and Germany, on the topics of next-generation digital marketing, brand design and personal development.
She consults relevant branding and marketing strategies to her clients across five continents; with which she works to develop their brand messaging so they can dominate their market and effectively position themselves as authorities within their industries, in a way that is forward-thinking and fit for today's new economy.
She is incredibly passionate about the idea that we can each ‘create our own opportunity’, and spreads that message across her social media, through her talks and within her company.
