“When liaising with international colleagues you need to adapt to their culture rather than imposing yours.”

My work
My role: I am currently a Business Development Manager in France as part of the sales department, selling financial and legal information. I have been working for several years overseas as a Key Account Manager and a Marketing Manager for an engineering and real estate business. Before that, I have undertaken internships in the United States in the luxury business and music industry.

Soft skills: Active listening/resilience/ curiosity/dynamism.
Hard skills: Business acumen.

How it started: I am graduated in International Management from three different countries: France, Spain and the UK. After my master degree I obtained several certifications in personal data protection and in new information and communication technologies. Resilience was the key to understanding the challenges that small and large enterprises have nowadays. Understanding the company’s core business and values was also fundamental.

Why choose an international career?
Liaising with international companies and people is a springboard for developing personal and professional skills. Understand new ways of working and open doors to new work opportunities, cooperating with high quality managers.
Beginning a work experience period in a foreign country is not always easy, but with hard work and determination, you will reach your objectives.
