In this webinar Connson Locke will discuss:
- The five sources of power and which work best when managing up
- How to deal with resistance and recover when things go wrong
- How and why you should cultivate “expert power”

More new content available in Audencia's webinar library!
Following its launch nearly three years ago, Audencia's webinar library continues to offer career-focused content for students and alumni. This library features world-class management thinkers like Steve Dalton, Dorie Clark and Julian Birkinshaw and offers an excellent opportunity to go back to the topics that were missed during the live broadcasts. Three new webinars are now accessible: Answering the "why" question in job interviews with Steve Dalton Throughout the recruitment process, and in every job interview, you run into “Why?” questions. In this webinar, Steve Dalton explains why these innocuous “Why?” questions matter so much, why normal “low content” responses don’t work and how to answer in a way that reassures your interviewer and distinguishes you from other candidates. Feel good about networking (and do it well) with Nicolas Constantinesco Networking is critical for successful job hunting. But many of us find the process uncomfortable, unethical or just too difficult. It does not have to be so. In this webinar Nicolas Constantinesco explains a different networking approach that he has successfully used to train students and mid-career professionals alike. How to make your work more meaningful with Monique Valcour Finding meaning in work is not a “nice to have”. It is a critical component of a good life. In this webinar we explore and identify the conditions that give rise to meaningful work and the strategies we can use to achieve them. Audencia offers a limited number of free and unlimited access to the webinar library. Students & alumni who are interested in advice onjob-hunting and interviewing, international careers, being a better boss, to name just a few of the subjects covered, should set up their individual account here

Join the EULab initiative for designing a sustainable future
Feeding Our Cities: developing sustainable, resilient & inclusive food systems This is a UNIQUE opportunity to be part of a EU Erasmus + project which aims at using design-based methods of teaching and learning to work on a live project in and with Nantes and look at a major issue in sustainability (here; how to feed cities in the future). Applicants (students and recent graduates) will work along other students from Finland, Spain and Ireland to suggest avenues to explore in this fascinating area. The intensive week 17-21 January 2022 is taking place at Mediacampus and will be full of master classes and exploration tasks to investigate how a city like Nantes is looking at feeding its citizens in the most effective sustainable way. Students will contine their investigation for 4 weeks online using different channels to work and communicate. There will be a public presentation at the end of the process. So it is an eye opening, intensive, collective, transdisciplinary and fun design-based exploration of a very serious sustainability issue. We would welcome alumni looking at refreshing/enhancing their skills in the management of projects dealing with sustainability and being free for 5 weeks to do so. To sum up, for Audencia participants, this will be: An exciting, innovative learning experience A chance to develop the skills to tackle our most pressing and complex challenges The chance to bring an idea from concept to prototype Work in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams Experience in: Agile team methods and Design inspired methods of thinking and planning; Virtual collaborative work platforms and tools (MSTeams/Slack; Miro; Twitter; LinkedIn) Working in English with students from Ireland, Finland and Spain An EU certificate of attendance for all participants Please follow this link to the EULab application form Any questions, contact Catherine Morel
