Audencia's Grande Ecole student Léa Porterie is making the most of her academic exchange at Boston University where she is studying Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology.

On 18 April, Léa will be running the 126th Boston Marathon in support of buildOn. Over the next weeks, she will be training to run the 26.2 miles. She is also fundraising to support buildOn.

What is buildOn?
An organisation that aims to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and low expectations through service and education. buildOn mobilises students to transform their communities through service and change the world by building schools in developing countries. They do this by empowering underserved students across the US, including Boston, to take part in service-learning to create lasting change in their communities AND constructing schools in 8 developing countries around the world. In 2021, buildOn students served over 18,000 hours to their communities, and buildOn communities constructed 220 schools globally!

What about Léa?
She says "Running the 126th Boston Marathon for buildOn is the best way for me to align my passion with a cause that is really close to my heart and the values I stand for: solidarity, empathy and courage." Léa has committed to raising at least $10,000 to support buildOn. "I am asking if you would consider joining me in this effort." Your tax-deductible donation will go directly to buildOn's Boston programmes, supporting youth from high schools across the city to make a lasting change in their community through service!

Léa concludes by saying "Thank you so much for your consideration and for being a part of this significant period in my life – both as a participant in the Boston Marathon and as a supporter of buildOn."
