4 alumni will return to Audencia for International Day on 28th September

28th September is International Day at Audencia. Throughout the afternoon, students will have the opportunity to attend workshops focusing on international topics and opportunities.
Audencia is delighted to welcome 4 alumni back to the school who are looking forward to sharing their international experiences and advice. Join them at 12:45 in auditorium A54 where they will share advice and talk about their current roles and how their international careers began.

- Cécile Pompei (GE 08) is a social entrepreneur in France
- David Saab (GE 04) works at JP Morgan in the UK
"Audencia was a place filled with inspirations and fond memories for me. I had been given a lot of useful career advice when I was a student and I reckon it will be interesting to share my experience in the "real world". "

Organising a class reunion in Paris from the other side of the world
"We've been juggling with the idea of a reunion for a couple of years now." says Robert. "When I visited Barbara in Brazil last year, she said she would start organising it for good and wanted my help” he continues. "I've kept very close contact with many of our IMM friends throughout the past 5 years, but could never meet more than 2 or 3 at a time” Barbara says. “Yes, our time in Nantes was special, partying and studying together. Something worth reliving” adds Robert. They decided to share the work between them. Robert returns regularly to Audencia to teach on the IMM programme so was able to communicate regularly with the Audencia Alumni team in Nantes. Barbara was responsible for getting in touch with the whole class, pitching the reunion idea and getting the most number of alumni present. “I contacted every single student and even if not all are able to come, they all are very excited about the reunion." Between Robert in Wales and Barbara in Brazil, as plans progressed, they decided to ask a French classmate to help with finding and booking a restaurant in Paris. “It's been easier than I anticipated” says Robert. "It sure is something to do more regularly” adds Barbara. The excitement is mounting as the reunion is now only a week away and almost half of the class are able to attend. "We are all looking forward to seeing each other again; we made some amazing friendships during our time in Nantes and next week's reunion can only strengthen them" says Barbara. The team at Audencia Alumni are also looking forward to seeing the 2017 photos of the IMM class of 2012!

ET/OU 2/ Je vais dans l’annuaire, je saisis le nom d’un(e) diplômé(e). Si il ou elle n’a pas encore créé son compte sur Together, je clique sur le bouton « Alumni Wanted » et je saisis son mail pour l’inviter à rejoindre Together. A vos claviers, il y a un iPad à gagner pour celui ou celle qui engendrera le plus grand nombre de création de compte sur Together ! Name: Eugénia Lao Current position: Assistant Wholesale Manager, Qeelin About my company: Luxury Goods & Jewellery wholesales, 51-200 employees Degree earned at Audencia: IMM 12 Nationality: Portuguese Residence: Shanghai - China “Sometimes it takes a while to reach your goal. If you can’t find a job that is exactly what you want, try to look at each job offer as a stepping-stone. As the saying goes “if you want something you've never had, you have to do something you’ve never done.” My work My role: I am an Assistant Wholesale Manager at Qeelin (Kering Group). Also I manage four points of sales (wholesalers) in China; I am responsible for pushing sell-in and sell-out volume, the business development, liaising with potential business partners as well as shopping malls and store openings. Soft skills: Interpersonal/negotiation skills. Hard skills: Being analytical/numeracy/ business acumen. My company: The organisational chart is relatively flat comparing to other luxury firms in China. As Qeelin is a young brand, the atmosphere is friendly, and the team is more cohesive than at brands with sizeable scales. How it started: Front-line my first job after graduation was in sales providing field experience in a luxury brand. It had certainly helped me to achieve my goal of working in retail operations/wholesale as field experience is a big bonus in the industry. My world Culture shock: I had some very challenging moments when facing cultural stereotypes in the workplace. Additionally, I had to overcome the language barriers. When I was a salesperson in Paris, I had to constantly improve my proficiency in French which is essential in sales. Why choose an international career?
