After graduating from Audencia's Food & Agribusiness Management programme, Diana Garcés did not return home to Colombia but headed for Paris instead where she founded "Café Los Andes".
"I started the project of Café Los Andes last year with the idea of bringing exceptional Colombian coffees to France, and of having a positive impact in social and environnemental matters in my country."
The journey has had its challenges and rewards, and Diana has been generous in sharing her entrepreneurial experience in France, most recently during yesterday's kick-off session of Around the World where she was a guest speaker. This was an opportunity for participants to learn about how Diana's agility has helped her overcome some of the obstacles posed by the pandemic. "The beginning was hard" she admits, "with lots of places still closed". The global health crisis forced Diana into changing her strategy and offer several times. Nevertheless, the fact of trying different things while developing her brand has opened up several great new opportunities. She has, for example, tested online 'pauses café' for remote workers and has been pleasantly surprised by the positive results.
"There are still lots of things to do, but I love my project and I am sure we will continue to bring our delicious coffees to much more people !" she concludes.
We have samples of Diana's delicious Colombian coffee which we will send to the first 50 Audencians who take up the tagging challenge during Around the World. Here's how it works:
